About Global Pastor Outreach

After an eye opening seventeen day trip to East Africa, while working with some of the poorest pastors in the slums of Nairobi, one US pastor embraced the call to help pastors in need. It was through this initial trip, during the summer of 2008, that the Global Pastor Outreach (GPO) was born. Since that time, the GPO has been engaging with pastors in need all over the world, providing much needed relief and encouragement. The plan is simple; help a pastor, help the world. At the Global Pastor Outreach, we believe, that building healthy pastors will in turn create healthier churches, which will then create healthier communities and ultimately nations.

In the developing nations where GPO is currently working, pastors are facing unbelievable obstacles and conditions in their pursuit to share Christ with their communities. In fact, one of our pastors willingly travels through over 20 miles of flooded swampland each month to take the Gospel to Muslim Sudan. Another lost his house and church last year due to arson because of religious and political persecution. Others have fought Malaria, lost children to sickness and disease, and still others don’t even have their own Bible from which to study and preach.

The heart behind this cause is simple – we want to bless those that are spending their lives being a blessing to those around them. This is where you come in. We are looking for men and women, families, businesses, and churches that want to make a difference by providing for the needs of a pastor. For only $33/per month, you can provide a pastor with much needed personal and ministry resources, not to mention, the ever-so-needed encouragement to keep going.

Since our inception, and through sponsors like you, the Global Pastor Outreach has been able to send out Bibles, leadership materials, personal toiletries, worship resources, and medical relief to pastors in need.
